A Layout Post

Finally I have a layout to show. I can count the number of layouts I've done lately on one hand. Not because I haven't wanted to scrapbook, but just due to lack of time and lots of kids in the house. My the time they are in bed and I have cleaned up a bit, I'm too wiped out to do anything more than watch 20 minutes of tv or knit and then pass out quite happily. Today, I had gotten everything out right before I put Lily down for her nap. Got Nathan set up with his sandwich request and then tv show request and went to work at the kitchen table. I had multiple distractions like the plumber coming, but I got it done. Plumbing story will be further down. It almost requires its own post.

Here goes:

Products used, Bazzill cardstock, Scenic Route Appleton PP, SR and Maya Road embellishments, buttons and ribbon, foam letter stickers were from $1 spot at Target a few months ago.

So the plumbing story. I check the mail today and open the City of mesa bill only to let out a rather pissed curse word (outside of course). The bill was $45 more than last month. After looking a little closer, I notice that our water usage has almost doubled from the previous month. Here is where you insert the look of horror on my face. I know I haven't built a pool in the last month, so where did all of the water go. Well, I called City of Mesa to find out first step of action. She has me check the meter reading today to compare it to last week. Okay, so it is bad. I immediately call a plumber. Somebody was able to be out in about an hour, perfect. After he thoroughly looked over the house, he started turning water off to see if the meter was still running. We have a leak in the cold water lines somewhere under the house. They don't rip up the house anymore unless they would absolutely have to. Once they locate the exact leak (another guy coming out tomorrow), it can be capped off at the main section and rerouted to the destination via the attic. We won't know the ending dollar figure until tomorrow morning, please keep us in your thoughts. It won't be the end of the world, but it will still definitely stink.

Oy! Hope that the leak is easily fixable and not too costly.

Love the layout, too. Very cute.

What a cute layout! I can tell we are both getting used to putting a lot of crap - I mean embellishments on our pages now!

Oh and in the works for me - I am knitting pumpkin fingerless gloves. I know - crazy!
