Smoothies and Knitting
I have been using my VitaMix a lot lately. It is an awesome machine. Now Jared loves almost every kind of fruit, but Nathan is a tad bit pickier. Both will drink the smoothies no matter what. The kids love helping me put different fruits and veggies into the blender though. There is a before and after picture of the blender. It look less than 20 seconds to go from picture 1 to picture 2. Inside was apple juice, two kiwis, a hunk of pineapple, 1.5 peaches, banana, half an apple and some carrots. When I buy fruit I usually chop it up and put it in freezer bags, that way I don't have to add ice to the smoothie. This blender does it all. I haven't made soups yet, but also does awesome ice cream.

Now onto the knitting. I have started knitting Rogue from A Girl from Auntie. I am using Rowan All Seasons Cotton in Mocha. I have 15 balls for this project, just under 1500 yards. I started with the sleeve because I had never done this intricate of cables before and figured the sleeves would be a safe place to start. This is two days worth of nighttime knitting. Every time I got to a cable row I totally slowed down. I think now I'll be able to speed up. I'm loving it.

Oh! I hadn't thought of all seasons cotton for Rogue. I'm intrigued! And if yours works out, I just might have to make one as well!!
