Sheep tote before and after

I got the FiberTrends Sheep tote finished this morning and got Jared to model it for me before it went into the washer. Here is the before and after. I really like it, no sheep will be added though. it is a gift for a non-sheep lover, but I have enough yarn left for another one so I will be putting the sheep on mine.

Oh, Sweet Sleep

So after a week of dealing with Nathan's cold and two new teeth coming in, he is finally sleeping better. When everythiing is perfect in his world, he wakes up once a night, but when something is amiss, he is up at least twice. That was totally wearing and Nick and I. I fought off the cold as well, so it was rough trying to get enough rest and getting up to take care of Nathan. Tuesday night was a lot of fun at Coffee Rush and last night I made it there right in time to see Alison before she had to leave. My manager was really sweet and we got out of there a few minutes early.

Busy, Busy weekend

I can't get over how busy my weekend ended up being. I didn't have to work this weekend, but that didn't matter. On Saturday was the Scrapbook convention. I go every year or in this case twice a year. This is the first time that it has been in Phoenix. What this meant is that I would be driving much farther than normal to check out what they considered the latest and greatest. What really happened though is the vendor faire was full of things that I had already seen in the local stores. I took three classes and they were all good. This year I took intermediate classes, next year I'm only taking the advanced ones. Not that I'm that good, but just that they were still too simple for my tastes. I did still manage to buy a few things, but I promised myself that it would only be what I hadn't seen in the stores here.

I did manage to get some knitting done inbetween my classes though. I made sure to take the Sheep Tote with me. I had a four hour break between two classes and Elisabet was meeting me for lunch, but I still had time to kill. While sitting there knitting, I met a lady who had come up from Tucson for the convention. Turns out she had worked at the preschool that Jared is going to now. Talk about small world. This one is even better. In the last class that I took, Prima Got Flowers, there was another TA in the class who looked awefully familiar. About the middle of the class, we both said to each other that we looked familiar. Turns out we had the same teacher for 5/6th grade. How funny is that???? Now if only I could get my mom to find my class picture from that year.

On Sunday, I met up with Elisabet, her sister and niece for some photo opportunities. I've been wanting to do some photos of a little kid on a bridge and they were up for it. Here is how it came out: What do you think of it? I only have 150 more pictures to proof, hahahaha. I got a lot of relationship poses with Maggie and her mom. I'm a casual shooter, not into poses. They never seem to work, especially with little ones.

Long Time, No posting

I can't believe how busy life can get. I haven't had any moments to blog lately. Between the kids, being a taxi service, photo shoots and my new part time job, I haven't had much time for anything else. I really do like doing it all, but it just wears on ya!!. Today, I'll be dropping Jared off at school at 9, going to the play are at the Chandler Mall, then stopping off at work to pick up some freebies I forgot to take home yesterday. I'm going to try to find Jared a shirt for picture day next week. I was thinking about not ordering any pictures, but as a mom I just can't do it. Maybe he'll smile differently for a stranger than he does for me, who knows. I'm definitely ordering his class picture, can't pass up an opportunity to document that day.

Photo shoot wise, I've had two fun newborn shoots in the last two weeks. One was a third child, a little boy, okay, he wasn't so little. He was a chub. he still fit in my wicker laundry basket though. We got such cute pictures. The other shoot was for a friend of a friend who just had twin boys. Both of these photo shoots will be added to my website as soon as I get a moment.

I really have been taking pictures of my own family too. nathan was still sleeping, but I got these of Jared and Madi.

Trudy and Clayton came over for dinner last night. I tried to get a picture of them, but Trudy wouldn't have any of it last night. She did do us a favor and snap one of us.

Great cup of coffee

I had an awesome cup of coffee last night at Coffee Rush. Stitch n Bitch was awesome as usual. Kimwas at her last Coffee Rush SnB before heading out to China for who knows how long. She wasn't sure that she would be coming back to Arizona. I don't blame her. If I had the opportunity, this would not be a place that I'd come back to. Back to the coffee. It was called a Rush Frost. Nice frozen drink with vanilla, coffee (decaf) and chocolate. Of course I couldn't pass up the whip on the top. There was no way in hell that I was going to get a caffeinated beverage at 7pm. I probably should have though because my eyes were closing by the time that I got into the driveway.

Nathan slept funny last night. He woke up early in the night and then had a hard time getting back to sleep. Of course he wakes up at 5:30, we change him and he drinks even more milk and stays asleep until 7:30. I can handle that wake up time. Of course Jared slept until 7:30 also so it was tough for me to get him ready for school, dressed and fed in 30 minutes. He isn't the most cooperative being in the early morning. Madi got to the house in plenty of time today and I got her breakfast ready to go for the car ride. For whatever reason, she seems to love having breakfast in the van on the way to Jared's school.

That's it for now. I have photoshoots to work on. Newborn twins that came on Sunday. They were so stinkin' cute it is hard to determine which ones to show the parents. I love them all.

My parents anniversary gift

Their anniversary was last week, 36 years. I'm so proud of them for making it to this point in their lives. I created a special scrapbook page for them. Actually it isn't a scrapbook page at all, but a canvas that they can hang on their wall. I gave it to them last night when they stopped by.
