Something moderately mindless

A fellow bloggerknitter, Nancy, posted about Typeracer. Yes, it is a typing game, but you can race against others that are also online. I won my first race at 64 wpm. I wrote emails for a living as an Email Rep at Charles Schwab so in order to meet expectations I had to at least type fast. In today's world, I don't think 60 wpm is that fast anymore, but it is certainly better than my hubby can do. LOL

If you need a good time waster, go check this out, it works great on Firefox.

10 years ago today

Ten years ago tonight we were walking down the aisle in some very hot temperatures, but that didn't matter. We had our family and friends with us and that is all that mattered. We started our lives together and they have been so exciting and loving. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else, we are best friends, having known each other since high school (even though we didn't start dating for many years after that).

Here is a picture from our wedding day and then one of us this afternoon. Slight difference in the way we look, but I love how we have matured.

Nick did an amazing job of surprising me this morning. After I went to bed, he scaled the attic ladder and found our wedding box and pulled out what he could. And then he went to Walmart and picked up three dozen roses and laid them all out on the table for me to see. Unfortunately, I got to see them earlier than I would have liked, 1:30 am when Jared woke up thirsty. I was too tired to register everything, but my brain worked a lot better around 6am. Nick has to work tonight so we are doing our anniversary day/night on Sunday when my parents can take the kids and Nick doesn't have to work. I'm just looking forward to spending an afternoon and evening together and getting to sleep through the night. It's the little things that matter.

HAPPY 10TH ANNIVERSARY SWEETHEART!!!!!

Sorry, no stuffed animal photos

I realized when I was about to post a picture of Elijah that I had given my friend my business card that has my blog on it. I don't want her seeing the cutie pie before her shower at the end of the month. If you would like to see him, visit me on Ravelry, I'm Michelleaz. He is in my projects. if you aren't on Ravelry and want to see him, just comment and I will email a pic.

Of course I couldn't just end the post there, here is a picture of the boys on their last day of swim lessons for this session. They are signed up for all four sessions with Mesa Parks and Rec. They have both improved so much since starting two weeks, crazy what lessons four days a week will do for ya.

I hope this doesn't make you too jealous

We have some monstrous tomato plants growing in our garden right now. With the current state of affairs with tomatoes right now, I'm loving that we planted four tomato plants in late Febrary. The only different thing we did this year is put a banana peel under the plants when we originally planted them. I think next year we are going to spread them out. It is seriously a jungle to fish out the ripened ones. They have been ripening very consistently for the last three weeks, just enough each day to satisfy my salad cravings and Jared's desire to pop them in his mouth. Jared's fav is the cherry tomatoes. I don't have a favorite, they all taste wonderful. We only planted two kinds, cherry and grape but we seem to have ended up with another type, I think it is a roma or plum. It is slightly larger than the grape variety.

We also planted some pepper plants, these should ripen into red bells. I seriously can't wait, those are my favorite.

A super cute picture of Elijah the elephant will be coming tomorrow,he is still needing some eyes and one more ear.
