Can't believe it has been so long, major catchup post

On Friday the 13th I took the kids to Bill Ryan's Client Appreciation night at Schnepf Farms. He is such a cool guy, not only does he send us gift certificates for Robert's cakes on our birthdays and anniversary, but he hosts this amazing night for his clients. He included everything, tickets to get in, food, rides and tons of fun. I invited Nick's dad, Big Tony to go with us. I'm sure some may think it was just a ploy to get cheap manual labor to drag the kids in the wagon but it wasn't. He lives in Queen Creek now, which is only a few minutes from the farm and I know he was going to enjoy himself (which he did). The kids rode on all of the rides, then we went to get our food and then we ended the night with a ride on the spooky train. I was a little worried about people jumping out at them and then having nightmares for a week. They had a good time telling BOO at anything that moved on the train ride and we came out nice and happy.

Next up was a trip to Mother Nature Farm, we had to go here since by the time we had gotten to Schnepf Farms last week the sun was down and I still wanted pumpkin patch pictures. That seems like a one-sided reason for going, but I know how much the kids like farms so it was a really good time. It was a toss up on what they liked better, getting to pick out their own pumpkins or getting to sit on the broken down tractor. I'm thinking it was the tractor.

Next up are my two munkins trying to avoid going to bed by looking totally adorable playing on the kitchen floor. We have had some sleep issues with Nathan lately, he will sleep in his new big boy bed for Nick but won't touch it for me. I know it is a mom thing and I have put my foot down, but so far it hasn't worked. This one is one tough cookie, certainly not as laid back as his older brother.

if it looks like Jared is about to whack his brother, it is probably true, they were play fighting.

I have been doing some knitting, but only on the Tuesday night get togethers, too many photo shoots to work on.

So busy lately!!!

I guess this is holding true for me again this year, I'm really busy. I've squeezed in every photo shoot I can and now I have to proof them all and get them ready to print and show. This is the part that I love, but I just don't love staying up super late to get it all done. I love getting to see everyone's families grow up, that is an awesome part of what I do. We've also just had a bunch of birthday parties to go to including Kira's today. She turned two a few days ago and her party was this afternoon. She is the granddaughter of our neighbors across the street, only three months younger than Nathan so we've hung out a lot and I've gotten to take her pictures as well. Here is a group shot of almost all of the kids involved (Kira is the Minnie Mouse)

The day started out rather gloomy, but that was okay because we were going over to Debbie and John's house to do their family pictures and in turn she was going to do ours. After a number of early morning phone calls we got showered, dressed and out the door. Of course the minute that we arrive in their driveway, it starts to rain, so we had to wait out the big droplets and hope for the best. I got some great ones of them, and she did really well with my family as well. Here is their little girl, she is in the same class as Jared, they love each other.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Week so far

The week has been nice so far. I worked on Monday and Tuesday and after the weekend with the kids and some assorted bad behavior I was ready to get to work and talk to adults, adults don't normally talk back to me. I went to Down Under Wines last night and met Kristina and her mom. It was just the three of us, we were a bit lonely, but I got a ton done on the orange wrap cardigan. Actually I was most happy about the two pages that I completely for Jared's scrapbook before I went to knit. I scraplifted the idea from the one of the Garden Girls at 2Peas and changed it around a bit for a two page layout (it was originally a one pager). Jared was so happy to see it this morning and Nathan is asking where his pages are. I wasn't able to get his done last night, but I promised him I would work on them.

2Peas layouts

I did however convince him to be cute for a minute so I could get a picture. this is what I got. His eyes are just amazing, I think they are my favorite feature of his.

Last of the Halloween stuff

This is the last project that I plan on doing for Halloween. They are paper mache houses that I got at Recollections. They closely match the ones that a class was held for, but I changed up the colors a bit. Actually Jared instructed me on what each house would look like.

I have a bunch of photos shoots to order prints for so I'd better get back to work.
