Cinch Hook

Today our family and a bunch of friends made the short trek just past Strawberry to the Cinch Hook Snowplay area. We left the house just before 11 and got up there at 1:30 after stopping for lunch in Payson. We were seriously worried though as we were driving through Payson, Pine and Strawberry that there wasn't going to be any snow at Cinch Hook. As soon as we got out of Strawberry and started climbing a bit higher, there it was, just beautiful. I think if we had waited another day or so, there wouldn't have been anything left. It was perfect up there, nice and warm. I didn't get too many pictures, but all of our friends made up for me lack of camera. I only had brought the big camera up with me and with like 200 people on the hill, I didn't want to leave the camera at the bottom of the hill unattended. Here is what I got when we got out of the car. It was the snowbank on the side of the road since the parking lot was overfull. Nick took a flying leap off of the snowbank and had a blast, but he realized on the way back up that the snow wasn't packed, he was quickly up to his knees in snow. LOL

Happy Valentine's Day

I'm not doing so hot this month on my socks. For some reason, the Aquaphobia pattern is taking me forever, it isn't hard, just a slip stitch and a tiny cable on either side, but this is the first time I've used size 1's. I have 4 inches done now, but I'm thinking these are going to be the March socks instead of February.

Nick had a blast at the Superbowl

Nick got to go to the Superbowl yesterday and had an absolute blast. Thanks Ken!! My only request that I had of Nick was to take some pictures that actually had him in them. I want to scrapbook the game for him, but I wanted to make sure he would be represented on the pages. He was at the Tailgate party beforehand and that is where a few of these pictures were taken.




Then the rest of the pictures were taken at the game itself.
